1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar tools, including localStorage, can remember preferences without sending data on every request. We use a short set of technologies to run essential features and, with consent, to measure traffic.

2. Essential storage we use

After you confirm you are 18 or older, we store a value under the key CasinoFlux_age so the age gate does not reappear on every page load. When you accept or decline cookies, we store CasinoFlux_cookies. These items are required for the Site to respect your choices and to meet our obligation not to show gambling-related editorial content to users who have not passed the age check on this visit pattern.

3. Optional analytics

If you press Accept on the cookie banner, we may enable privacy-minded analytics that record aggregated page views, approximate location at country or region level and device category. Decline keeps optional analytics off. You can change your mind by clearing site data in your browser and reloading the page to see the banner again.

4. How long data lasts

LocalStorage preferences remain until you clear them or we migrate to a new storage method and ask again. Analytics cookies, when used, typically expire within twelve to twenty-four months depending on the tool configuration. Server logs tied to security are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Third parties

Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts when pages load; that request can expose your IP address to Google under their terms. Affiliate destinations set their own cookies after you leave CasinoFlux. We do not control those cookies.

6. Managing preferences

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies under settings. Blocking all storage may force the age gate to appear repeatedly. On CasinoFlux you can also use Decline to refuse optional analytics while keeping essential preference keys.

8. More detail on categories

Strictly necessary technologies support security, load balancing and consent records. Functional technologies remember interface choices such as whether the cookie banner has already been answered. Performance technologies, used only after acceptance, help us see which comparison sections attract readers so we can fix weak explanations. We do not currently run third-party advertising cookies on article pages.

9. Do Not Track

Browser Do Not Track signals are not consistently implemented across the web. Our banner and localStorage approach gives an explicit choice for optional analytics on CasinoFlux regardless of DNT headers.

10. Practical examples

Example one: you confirm age and accept cookies. CasinoFlux_age and CasinoFlux_cookies are written locally, the banner hides, and optional analytics may start. Example two: you confirm age and decline cookies. Essential keys still save so we do not trap you in a loop, but analytics stays off. Example three: you clear site data. Both keys disappear and the gates return on the next visit so we can ask again cleanly.
