Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 August 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how CasinoFlux (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit casinoflux.uk. We operate an editorial comparison website about UK-licensed casinos. We are not a gambling operator and we do not open player accounts on your behalf. Reading this notice should help you understand what stays on your device, what reaches our servers and how to exercise your rights.
1. Who is responsible
CasinoFlux is the data controller for information collected through this website. For privacy questions write to dataprotection@casinoflux.uk. We process data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. If we appoint a processor for hosting or analytics, that supplier acts on documented instructions and may not use your data for its own marketing.
2. Data we may collect
We may process technical data such as browser type, device category, approximate region derived from IP, referring pages and timestamps. If you email us, we process the address and message content you choose to send. Age-confirmation and cookie-preference flags may be stored in your browser via localStorage so we do not re-prompt you every visit. Form fields, if added later for newsletter sign-ups, would be described before collection.
We do not ask for payment card numbers on CasinoFlux. If you click through to a casino, that operator’s own privacy notice applies to any account data you provide there. CasinoFlux never receives your casino password, deposit history or identity documents unless you voluntarily attach them to an email, which we discourage unless we have asked for a specific verified purpose.
3. Why we process data
We process information to keep the site secure, remember essential preferences, understand aggregate traffic patterns, answer messages and meet legal duties. Analytics, where enabled after consent, help us see which articles and stamps are useful so we can improve structure and clarity. Security logs help us detect abusive automated traffic that could harm availability for genuine readers.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the activity we rely on: legitimate interests (running and securing an editorial site), consent (non-essential cookies or similar technologies) and legal obligation (responding to valid regulatory or law-enforcement requests). You may withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time through browser controls or by clearing stored preferences. Legitimate interests are balanced against your rights; you may object where the law allows.
5. Cookies and similar tools
Essential storage supports the 18+ gate and cookie banner state. Optional analytics cookies load only after acceptance. Details live in our Cookie Policy. We do not use intrusive cross-site advertising pixels on the core article templates. LocalStorage keys used for consent are named CasinoFlux_age and CasinoFlux_cookies so you can identify them in developer tools if you wish.
6. Affiliate links
Outbound “Play Now” buttons may include tracking parameters so a partner network can attribute a registration. Those partners and casinos become independent controllers for data gathered on their platforms. Read their notices before creating an account. CasinoFlux does not control how long a casino keeps KYC files once you register there.
7. Sharing
We may share limited technical data with hosting, security and analytics providers that process information on our instructions under contracts. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by UK law or to protect users from serious harm. Professional advisers such as lawyers or accountants may see limited records when needed for compliance.
8. International transfers
If a supplier stores data outside the UK, we look for an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent contractual clauses, plus a transfer risk assessment where needed. You can ask us for a summary of the safeguards that apply to a named supplier.
9. Retention
Server logs are kept only as long as useful for security and diagnostics, typically up to twelve months unless a longer period is required to investigate abuse. Email correspondence is retained while a query is active and for a reasonable archive period afterwards, usually no more than twenty-four months unless a dispute requires longer storage. LocalStorage keys remain until you clear them or we change the mechanism and ask again.
10. Security measures
We apply HTTPS, access controls and least-privilege practices for staff tools. Administrative access is limited to people who need it for publishing or maintenance. No online service can promise perfect security, so we encourage you to avoid sending sensitive identity documents to our editorial inbox unless we expressly request them for a verified process.
11. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection to certain processing and data portability where applicable. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it. To exercise rights email dataprotection@casinoflux.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We aim to respond within one month, or explain if a lawful extension applies.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with our response you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom. We would appreciate the chance to resolve concerns first. Provide enough detail about the page, date and issue so we can investigate quickly.
13. Children
CasinoFlux is strictly for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us so we can delete it. Parents or guardians who discover underage access should also use device-level controls and, where relevant, gambling self-exclusion tools for the household.
14. Automated decisions
We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based on browsing this editorial site. Ranking stamps describe casinos, not individual readers, and are produced by human editors using published criteria.
15. Policy updates
We may revise this notice when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a material update. Continued use after an update means you should review the new text. For significant changes we may also highlight a short note on the homepage.
